In education, technology plays an important role. Computers are used to find information, write organized reports and documents, and more. Calculators are used to assist students with their math problems. Flash Drives are used to transfer information from the school computers to your own. Social networking cites are used to promote school events, organizing school clubs, helping with assignments, homework, and class projects. Facebook is a popular page, but some teachers worry about it not being safe, so they are using cites such as ePals, eChalk, and Edmodo. These are safe sites for students. Teachers are allowed to limit who can join and who students can talk to. Skype, a way to video chat and talk to people in other places, is being used frequently to contact students from other parts of the country and the world. Twitter is helping teachers make weekly group chats with their students. Schools are starting to allow kids to bring their phones to class because it helps find and organize their information. It is like a virtual agenda. iPads are being used as online dictonaries, online labs in science, and making up work. Projectors are seen in many classrooms, being used to show, or "project", images onto a screen so the whole class can see.
